SM 1.0 gives the performer explicit control over the panning of the synths. If certain "marks" are hit frequently, the potential to make synths with advanced panning modulation is unveiled. These milestones are set by the composer, and thus represent an important distinguishing factor for the various SM compositions we've released. In this piece, the threshold of acceptability for what constitutes an acceptable panning instruction is set lower than average.
